DIRECTORATE OF ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT AND ITQAN (DAAI)
STUDENT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) SHEET

For English version:
Dear Students, Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. As part of our continuous commitment to academic and spiritual excellence, Moyo Islamic Academy has merged the Directorate of Examinations and the Directorate of Teaching and Learning into the newly established Directorate of Academic Assessment and Itqan (DAAI). This sheet addresses your questions regarding how this exciting transition impacts your
upcoming exams and daily learning.

1. Understanding the New Directorate
Q: What does DAAI stand for, and why was it created?
A: DAAI stands for the Directorate of Academic Assessment and Itqan. It was created by merging our teaching and examination wings to ensure that your classroom learning and exam evaluations are perfectly synchronized. Rather than treating testing as a separate hurdle, DAAI uses exam data instantly to help your teachers improve daily digital lessons.

Q: What does 'Itqan' mean for me as a student?
A: Itqan means meticulous precision, thoroughness, and striving for perfection for the sake of Allah. For you, this means our programs are moving away from simple rote memorization. We are shifting toward deep, authentic understanding, critical thinking, and the practical application of knowledge in both modern sciences and Islamic studies.

2. Impact on Upcoming Examinations
Q: Will my upcoming exam dates or schedules change because of this merger?
A: No. All existing exam schedules, registration deadlines, and academic calendars remain exactly the same. The restructuring is administrative and will not cause any delays or disruptions to your current academic path.

Q: Will the exam formats or questions become harder?
A: The exams will not be 'harder,' but they will be more meaningful. Questions will focus on testing your true comprehension rather than just memorized text. DAAI ensures that everything you are tested on perfectly matches what you were taught in your online classes, removing surprises and ensuring fair evaluations.

3. Integration of Akhlaq and Integrity

Q: How does DAAI connect with my spiritual development (Tarbiyah)?
A: In Islam, academic performance cannot be separated from moral character (Akhlaq). DAAI treats your academic journey as a sacred trust (Amanah). Your consistency in attending digital sessions, participating respectfully, and showing sincerity will be valued alongside your final test grades.

Q: What are the expectations regarding academic honesty in online testing?

A: Because your exams are conducted on digital platforms, academic integrity is paramount. DAAI enforces a zero-tolerance policy for cheating, plagiarism, or unauthorized assistance. True Itqan requires absolute honesty, knowing that Allah is Always watching our actions.

4. Feedback and Student Support
Q: How will this merger benefit my grades in the long run?
A: Under DAAI, a new 48-hour feedback loop is established. Once exams or quizzes are completed, the assessment wing instantly shares analytics with your instructors. If a large number of students struggle with a specific concept, your teachers will immediately adapt and re-teach that concept in the next digital module, ensuring no student is left behind.

Q: Who do I contact if I have technical issues during an exam or question about my grades?
A: Your point of contact remains unchanged. For technical platform issues or specific grading inquiries, continue to utilize the official Moyo Islamic Academy support channels or reach out via our designated lines (WhatsApp +255 766 061 270). All student support requests are now directly supervised by DAAI to ensure rapid resolution.
