In the Name of Allah, the Merciful the Compassionate<\/p>\n

INTRODUCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

HIGHER EDUCATION WEEK<\/strong> is the national event hosted by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training \u2013 Zanzibar<\/strong> with aim of creating awareness for the youths from secondary schools and community in general who are expecting to pursue higher studies in local and international universities.<\/p>\n

On other hand, it is the perfect opportunity for the academic institutions to market and promote their institutions too.<\/p>\n

We, as an educational stakeholder, we have got an opportunity to participate on HIGHER EDUCATION WEEK \u2013 2022 held here in Pemba for and on behalf of the International Open University.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Allah, we were able to do our job well, and meet the target we sat for,<\/p>\n

It was a 5 days event, started from July 13, 2022<\/strong> to July 17, 2022<\/strong> which was attended by participants from different groups within the society such as students from secondary schools & colleges, government officials, civil servants and others within our society.<\/p>\n

We have received many questions, thanks to Allah, we were able to responds well to the best of knowledge, and also we have received some recommendations from the Government through the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training \u2013 Zanzibar and from the participants of the event too that we think, such recommendations might bring successes to IOU.<\/p>\n

Through this report, we are aiming to show how the event was, the successes and recommendations from Shaibu Foundation through our observation.<\/p>\n

DAY ONE<\/strong><\/p>\n

On July 13, 2022 <\/strong>was the opening day of this event, participants from different groups within the society such as students from secondary schools & colleges, government officials, civil servants and others within our society.<\/p>\n

It was aired by several local media outlets, including ZBC (government-owned television) and report on Zanzibar Leo newspaper (government-owned).<\/p>\n
