\u201cIn the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n South Pemba,<\/strong> Moyo Islamic Academy (MIA) and the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in academic matters particularly on examination affairs.<\/p>\n This groundbreaking partnership intends to establish academic cooperation and partnership in examination supervision and establishment of MIA Satellite Examination Centers in all regional\/coordinating centers owned by OUT to be used by MIA for its examinations.<\/p>\n The Open University of Tanzania established by an act of the Parliament No. 17 of 1992 and later re-accredited under the University Act No. 7 of 2005 through the Open University Charter and Rules of 2007 and that its head office in Dar-Es-Salaam which offers all its educational Programs through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Mode WHILE on other hand, Moyo Islamic Academy established under The Companies Act No 15 of 2013 (laws of Zanzibar) and the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training \u2013 Zanzibar under the Department of Alternative Learning and Adult Education has granted a license to operate as Continuing Education Center and that its head office in South Pemba which is engaging in carry out all activities through teaching and learning, research, consultancy, advisory, technical services, publications and extensions activities to promote the advancement and unification of knowledge and theology in arts, humanities, science and technology etc by infusing islamic values and principles in their broadest sense.<\/p>\n This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone in MIA\u2019s commitment to advancing education and fostering accessibility to everyone, regardless of location or background and growth of Open Distance and electronic Learning (ODeL) in the region.<\/p>\n As for our students, this partnership gives them an opportunity during the exams session to attempt their exams at any regional\/coordinating centers owned by OUT in any region.
